Don't act so surprised. You know it was bound to happen. 

Yes, I also know it's been a while. MY BAD ;______; I've been busy spending money and crying over the fact that there's not enough time in a day. But the important thing is that I'm back and this blog isn't dead okay. I have a lot of exciting things in store for this blog (for the 100th time...) and I'll be executing them all SOON BUT FOR THE TIME BEING LEAVE ME ALONE I'M WORKING ON IT. 

Let's move on to the playlist shall we? If you don't know by now, I play this little game called League of Legends. Anyway, I really only play ranked these days because I don't have much time to play and when I do, I might as well try to benefit somehow right? Yeah, idk. I've always had a bit of a competitive nature so I don't think I'll quit playing ranked anytime soon. I have a variety of songs I listen to when I play but there are definitely a few that stand out to me. The playlist is a steady flow of songs, which is what I like personally in any playlist. Sure, having that adrenaline rush with a fast paced song is good for triggering the initial excitement, but having a few mellow paced songs give off a balance while I play. Or some mumbo jumbo -- just give it a listen.

League of Legends Player Banners: Batch #2

A while back I made these Player Banner Cards and wanted to keep going and make as many as possible. I just enjoy making them since I rarely get to do any design work with video games and I'm not an illustrator by any means. And as much as I would love to make my own original art, I'm just not that kind of artist. But making something as seemingly simple as these little banners kind of fulfill that want to design and be creative with gaming. 

As you'll notice from the first batch, these came out a little different but not by much. I got rid of the ranking border because I felt like it was giving special treatment to higher level friends over lower ones and that's not the point of these. I'm thinking about optimizing the size and positioning of the text so that they fit nicely for Facebook cover images. I originally intended these to be like forum signatures but really, I just like making the splash art look to my liking. This batch was also a lot cleaner than the last so that's something I'll probably revise in the last one.

The second Playlist mixtape I ever made on this blog was one dedicated to gaming. To me it's sort of unique (although, these artists are actually more popular than the one's in most of my other mixtapes...) because I don't listen to this genre of music very often. Like, I am actually not a big fan of Dubstep or Drum&Bass. I'm very selective about certain songs and it's easy for Dubstep to overwhelm me very quickly. With that said, gaming puts me in certain 'mood', where this genre of music gets me amped up. So I wanted to make a playlist with this type of music that suits my taste, and that's kind of what I accomplished the first time. Albeit, most of these tracks aren't really new (except maybe the Madeon one) but they are still my tried and true favs. If you're not a huge fan of Dubstep but are looking for a pumped up soundtrack for your fast-paced games, give this one a shot.

On a design note, I was going to go the usual route I've been going lately, which is simplistic, minimal covers for these playlists. However, I kinda wanted to just go a little crazy. I mean yeah, my aesthetics lean more towards the minimal / clean look, but since these are for my music posts, I've been thinking about going a little more 'out there' and fun. I mean, why not right? I feel like simplistic design is beautiful, elegant and very trendy right now, but sometimes you just gotta have a little fun, and that's kind of the direction I went here.

Whenever I'm playing video games I like listening to electro / dubstep as it kinda sets the mood for me. There's a combination of fast, adrenaline-rushing tracks along with slightly mellower electro tracks to get you amped. Hope you enjoy it!

[RAW] Video Games: Do they benefit my life?

AFTERGLOW USB wired XBOX 360 controller

STEAM is having their Holiday sale! Every day until January 3rd, they're having different games on sale. Yesterday I bought Final Fantasy 7 and 8 for the PC! Okay honestly, I know these are old games but 7 was $4 and 8 was $8. How does one say no?

So naturally, I bought a controller to play on my PC. I've actually never played any PC games with a controller so I felt compelled to get a new controller. This isn't an official XBOX controller, which I know a lot of people frown upon since 3rd party controllers tend to be more cheaply made and thus break easier. Unfortunately for me, I'm a creature that is easily lured by 'aesthetics'. You know, like buying something for the packaging. In any case, I read some reviews on Amazon before purchasing these, and they seemed decent. Plus, they're cheaper. Anyway, here it is!

Oh did I mention it glows? Yeah. I'm sucha sucker for translucent, glowing things (as you can tell from my keyboard...). *sigh* It does look pretty damn cool though, right?

Let me know if you've ever bought gaming gear purely because of how it looked and if it absolutely came back to bite you in the ass. lol

I recently got a Mechanical keyboard, after having my Gateway chiclet keyboard for a good five years....it was time for me to part ways. Despite the fact that my old keyboard had the letters wearing off, I was being really stingy about buying a new keyboard. Plus since I knew gaming was a part of my life, I wanted invest in a good gaming keyboard if anything. My boyfriend decided to buy me a mechanical keyboard for my birthday (and/or Christmas since my bday is on the 22nd ;__;) and I'm pretty happy with it so far.

Pretty Little Things

I'm still trying to fix my blog layout. I'm not sure if I'm liking the two column get up since I know I'll be posting a lot of large photo related things. But for now, I'm still messing with it. I really wish I learned web design earlier in life. In case you're wondering how I made this layout, I literally had to just mess with all the custom HTML tags that were embedded in the blog. I added some few extra layout things like custom banner and what not but for the most part this is pretty basic. It takes me forever to tweak things because I'm literally just testing everything out along the way and seeing what each HTML tag does if I changed it's elements. But anyway.........

Here are some random pretty little things I found on my computer. Can really tell how much I like PINK hehe.
